This Boston terrier wants to know why you only really apply yourself at work a couple of days out of the week.

Sometimes work is annoying.

Whenever you talk to people that have seemingly suuuuper boring jobs and you ask, “why do you like working there then?” they almost always say the same thing: “I like the people.”

Well, good to know it works both ways. I kind of like my job, (no, I don’t love it.. Who LOVES textbooks? Let’s be real, people.) but at least I’m trying to apply what I leaned in school and I do enjoy marketing a lot (hence, my major in college).

However, just like good people can make a boring job fun, annoying people can make a fun job SUCK.

I know no one really wants to read about me complaining, and I am thankful for having a job at all, but I have to get it off my chest. Plus this is all a learning experience for me.

I’ve been trying for nearly 9 months now to like certain individuals I work with, but truth be told, it’s really difficult. My fellow colleagues who have more experience than I just say, “wish I could say it gets better.. Just gotta learn to roll with it.”

Tell me, corporate world, am I really just always supposed to suck it up? When someone constantly gives conflicting directions or doesn’t provide enough support, do I just roll with it?

I know everywhere I go there will always be people I don’t get along with and that’s just a fact of life. I just don’t know how much longer I can take working with idiots for a job I only kind of like.

At least the benefits are good. HA….

/end rant

giraffe out loud: If ever... »

giraffeoutloud:

…you feel like universe is against you
Remember that the sparks in a star and the blood in your veins
Are made of the same parts
And that as long as the stars in the sky are burning
Your heart pulses too
Forging enough heat
To scorch the lands
